Pause & Reflect

An Invitation to Choose a Word & Scripture

There are seasons when clarity arrives not as a plan, but as a quiet recognition—naming what God is already doing. For me, one such season was shaped by the word PROSPER, anchored in Isaiah 43:18–19(ESV):

"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

This became a season of release, alignment, and preparing the soil—learning not to live in what had been, but to make room for what was forming. Over time, another word began to emerge: NEW, grounded in Revelation 21:5(ESV):

“And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’”

This was not a rushed decision or a shift for novelty’s sake. Near the end of 2024, I received the word Prosper, and it carried me steadily throughout 2025. During that same year—before I ever considered New as a word for what was ahead—I found myself writing a song titled “New” over the summer. At the time, I understood it simply as creative expression. As the months passed, it became my anthem, and I began to recognize it as prophecy—bringing clarity and awakening an excitement in me for what was to come.

By the end of 2025, during a time of prayer and study, I connected New with Revelation 21:5. The way Prosper and New came together felt complete—like a deep spiritual recognition, a moment where promise and fulfillment met. In 2025, God announced His promise to me through the word Prosper before there was any visible evidence. When I later embraced the word New, it felt like confirmation—an affirmation of the prosperity I could now see unfolding all around me. This prosperity was not defined by financial gain, but by alignment—clarity of calling, deepened trust, creative fruitfulness, and the freedom to live into what God had already been forming.
