Life’s Work

It all began with a song.

​

That's right—a song in my heart, lyrics that first flowed from my lips and eventually traveled from my heart through my hands onto paper.

​

Songwriting is my oldest and most cherished gift, and I am so excited to share it with you! Some of these songs have stood the test of time for more than twenty years, while others have been birthed within the last few years. Each was inspired by prayer, lived experience, reflection, or something placed on my heart for others.

​

This collection includes original recordings in my own voice alongside newer songs brought to life through AI-assisted music and vocals. Some are also featured in my Adelphe Shamar devotional and Healing Through Song & Reflection coloring journal.

Now, a little confession! I've shared these songs with all four of my sons, and every single one has come at me about not singing the newer ones myself! LOL! I even reminded one of them that I included songs featuring my own voice in this playlist. His response? "That was twenty years ago! What about your voice NOW?" LOLOL! Clearly, there's no pleasing these young men! 😂
